Team Culture Definition

What is team culture?

Team culture refers to the collective beliefs, values, and behaviors of all team members.

The culture of a team is ultimately defined by the people in it, for instance their behavioural norms the values they espouse, how they handle conflicts, interact with one another, and perform their tasks.

Team culture can be influenced by external factors such as the culture of other teams that they interact with or the culture of the organization in which the team operates. It can also be influenced by internal factors such as the goals or mission of the team or by team processes. See team climate for more.
