Team Enablement Definition

What is team enablement?

Team enablement can be described as a strategic practice to provide teams with the support, knowledge, and tools to perform to their full potential.

Team enablement can essentially be thought of as team development. It is similar in concept to performance enablement but specifically for team processes. All too often, organizations focus entirely on developing their employees as individuals, even though most of the productivity gains or losses happen at the team level. For teams to thrive, organizations must focus on both.
