Team Retrospective Definition

What are team retrospectives?

A team retrospective, also referred to as a retro or team reflection, is a meeting that typically takes place either periodically or at the end of a project, to reflect on what went well and what could've gone better.

The purpose of a retro is to formalise the process of learning from experience, to avoid repeating mistakes and to apply learnings to future work. Team retrospectives give team members the opportunity to share learnings, make suggestions for improvements or address specific problems.
